condition now he doesn't have to stress about it and doesn't always have to be near a toilet there are some great lessons in this one let's get started okay my friend we are in month three right almost four we're almost month we're in month four actually yep yep yep how are we doing I am relieved and U that was was not the case when we talked about it in December yeah it's been a it's been a long journey since then and um it just started with a belief yeah describe to me before December um you know you had been speaking to various uh specialists in the UK um and uh what what were they saying what were all the Physicians saying what were the gastroenterologists saying what was kind of what were they telling you about your condition they were telling me frankly what they know that there is a pathway and that pathway is in know what you are now going to take medicine and carry on with that you have to make some specific food choices and carry on with that and manage once you're on the pathway your immune systems will be suppressed and you know you know you really put on medication that you have to take with you all the way everywhere and that kind of T go well with me yeah and I've had this before in 2010 MH but I knew that I have to come out of it this is not for me yeah and in NHS things don't move very fast right it's like everything's kind of slow did they give you any kind of like nutritional support or any guidance on like lifestyle op imization probiotics like did they talk to you about any of these topics or no I think this is alien to you know the conversation that I have with the doctors to be honest um they they have a set pathway but but yes I say to start with the investigations were good enough toig out that there was a problem that really H was known I think it started taking a bit longer for me to figure out what do I have to do when I have to meet doctors again the appointments were longer enough and at the same time um the voice was very generic you know what come have a word talk about what medicines you have to take than anything else about food there was no advice except that you have to be on a fod map diet Etc but that was really not answer anything you tried a fod map diet didn't really work did it I tried because that was only thing known to me but but that help or not I have no idea no clue whatsoever did you see any changes when you did it any improvement with fod map or no I have honestly no idea if it really help or not but I was enjoying my C I know we um you know in our program we don't we don't do fod map we have a phytonutrient diet that's kind of what we're known for um I wanted to ask you in so when you enrolled in the program what was what was the I guess I'll ask you two questions what was the most helpful thing about the program in in terms of getting you recovered the most helpful thing that when I spoke to you when I saw some of the videos earlier and in fact when I went through the program also was that there was an approach that made sense it was not a quick fix take this I don't know who you are take this and you'll be right or you know what somebody selling a pill somewhere I I did a research on lot of things by the way you know what I knew that I knew that people are getting cured they're all applying their own ways but some ways felt to me you know what there is somebody has prescribed something it doesn't whether it will work for you or not you don't know yeah I started trying them because that is what I knew then but as I as I I started researching I figured out you know what I saw uh in my Community Clinic what they are talking about how the approach works it made sense to me it was it was Radical also when we spoke in the sense that what doctors were prescribing to what you had suggested was totally the opposite yeah but somewhere I had a belief you know what what can what can go wrong from where I was yeah and describe to uh like remind me again let's talk about like what were your symptoms what were your previous symptoms that were causing you so many issues maybe we can go through those hassle so hassle of frequent trips to the uh toilet um it puts pressure on what you do how you manage you have to always this is always on the back of your head you know when you're thinking and and doing work your Mobility is reduced you have to plan whether you can go somewhere or not and you have to think whether you know we'll have the facilities there or not so it was kind of distressing thankfully when it happened and you know when when we actually met I would say Christmas was around the corner so I was able to actually fully focus on it and get yeah you know that's actually very helpful a lot of people with crohn's and IBD they tend to be juggling a lot of things in their life you know it's like they're always got like work or school and family obligations stress you know there's always a lot it's not usually like you know someone's just sitting around doing nothing and I get this question a lot like how does someone with a family kids you know busy professional like a a real life how do they do a protocol such as this I get that question a lot and so I wanted to just hear your thoughts on that first when I saw you know uh the program when it came through I was a bit overlined to be honest yeah but the first message of calm that also came through don't worry things will fall in place you just get started and I think some initial messages of start with this rest will happen first concentrate on this I think those those things were helpful and of course having a supportive family is very very important and I would say you know what at this moment I had to decide what my priority is and uh thankfully things you know fell in place yeah and and you've had near total I mean all your symptoms are resolved we're we're now focused on you know month four five six people ask like how long is the program well the program is not very long but you can make it as long as you want right so what do we do month four month five month six we're focused on muscle growth we're focused on endurance we're focused on longevity you know these biohacking principles to try to increase you know long you know lifespans and make you healthier in general so I wanted to talk to you a little bit about what that transitions look like cuz you you're not someone that you were not ever somebody that really exercise from what I understood right and then you you tried hiring a trainer but the first trainer didn't go really well now you got another trainer I just I wanted I wanted to just ask you how that process is going by the way the reason exercise is important we know muscle produces these chemicals that are anti-inflammatory so the more muscle you have it's actually protective against things like Crohn's disease or autoimmune disease in general um and this is why we prioritize it in four to six of the program right is really just increasing that muscle growth but yeah I wanted to just hear your thoughts on that and and your experience well I I'll put it a little differently here it's all about Basics first of all I think what I've learned working with you is that focus on the basics and things will be all right um the basics and then sometimes you know one says common sense is not that common and we are all forgetting that if we follow the basics probably the problems will not be there and that is why doctors I believe do not have the answer the answer is complicated because it lies apart in many things one taking care of your health your sleep your stress and food which is also other aspect which is very important right and and they all work together along with exercise right so they're all Basics that in a busy life I believe we are missing on that we are missing on all those aspects which is why more and more instances are happening right now yeah I know it's high higher rates of autoimmune disease by the way and the rates just keep going up including Crohn's and Colitis man it's just going up like these rates are going up and you're kind of wondering like why is this but it's exactly what you said I think we're we're we're all missing the basics here and now here I am you know planning my next stage of building musle it's not about building muscle it's about building your resistance you know your your your ability of body to actually take you to the next stage so I am equally excited as you know the first stage when I started okay what am I going to do next in this stage of course and then you talk to your you know again you asked me to hire a trainer and I'm trying to work out and that's my second second choice but it's again you know you figure out how how things are done methodically how things are man methodically so I'm I'm sure that after a couple of months it will again you know give me a boost of what results we're looking for yeah that's good what are you looking forward to the most because your life is I mean it's changed I would tell you in the last three months it's you you you have you don't have any signs or symptoms of Crohn right now what are you hoping to do with your health like what are you looking forward to the most you you have to change your mindset towards your head it's an ongoing thing uh I have a protocol which gives me a clear view of how you can get back into life if I need to but importantly more than that without medication right yes without medication and uh again this is all Basics so that was the most important thing when I talk to anybody when IAL I talk to a lot of people by the way you know I I I told them where am I I am in the journey they have been inquiring with me as well and I have been telling them it is all about following the basics um and you know sharing the progress has been very encouraging and they are all all asking me when can you start in normal food I said soon and we had this the other thing we're going to do we're going to be teach I'm going to teach you how to cheat on the diet so it's not strict right that's the whole that's the whole next couple months this is the exciting part right it's the first the first part is like it's kind of work like the first month especially first month right like you tell every sing day you're texting me pictures of your poop you're saying you're still taking pictures of your poop even now right and then you know food Diaries how your daily weights amount of water you're drinking your wife is texting like you know and then we're texting back and forth recipes and you're kind of like wondering like what's going on this is crazy right and then next thing you know one day the blood mucus everything goes away the urgency goes away and you're feeling better and you're like wow this is great at first it goes hard but then you realize you're eating normally is not that hard but believe me you know what I am a vegetarian so it was not that problematic for me but if any somebody has to really get into this regime uh it may work differently for different people but at the same time it's doable it's possible it's it's it's no different to how do you cook different you just cook things differently that's all with few things which are not there in the protocol so it worked well for me yeah what advice would you give to someone with uh IBD Crohn's who is struggling right now um with this condition what's what's the advice you would give them it is possible to come on the other side and with an effort with a focused effort on yourselves and following the basics yeah there is no rocket science to this but the basics are not known and that is what I think you help me with and that is what I believe people need to focus upon there are there are approaches available and what I felt about coming out and talking to you was that there was a science behind it there was a logic behind it it felt that I could connect to it and at the end of the day you know what that conviction that got feeling uh that it that it will work actually it work yeah it matters the most you know I spent a lot of time figuring out because you know I've deal I've I've struggled with this condition myself I've spent many years of my career trying to understand exactly what those Basics are because so like you said it's not something that most Physicians even know how to fix they don't even know what's wrong Common Sense isn't common um you know and even even our food nowadays doesn't contain the type of nutritional elements it did even you know one two generations ago um I would say Physicians overall do not understand the gut microbiome really well um or how to recalibrate it effectively in a reliable way but these are Basics right these aren't like you know even though it's Cutting Edge and not a lot of people know it they're they're basic just like you said very I I put it this way you know um medicine focuses and researches on one specific topic but human is a whole and that's where it is falling apart so is about bringing conventional you know the the the old wisdom together with what we know today putting them together I think we can solve a lot of things and that is what has happened here yeah they've not done anything rocket science I know and that's what we did we just kind of put together what we've always known synthesize the information create a program um and I think that yeah like you said I think it's very helpful well thank you I really appreciate it um this has been a very helpful helpful uh um you know interview I think a lot of people will benefit it thank you all right that's the end if you think this video will help someone you know be sure to share the link
